Cool vintage camera

I finally decided to get a vintage camera, something different from my phone. I picked up a Polaroid SX-70 from Brooklyn Film Camera. It arrived well-packaged, which was nice, and looked really good, like almost new. I had a small question about loading the film at first, but their customer service got back to me pretty fast. It took a little practice to get decent shots, but that's part of the fun of it, I guess. Overall, a good experience and I'm happy with my camera.

Reliable for film and more

I've bought film from BFC several times before, mostly 35mm and 120, and they're always consistent. This time, I also sent in my old Polaroid SLR 680 for a repair service. It came back looking great, and the focus mechanism felt much smoother than it had in years. The turnaround for the repair was about what they quoted, maybe a day or two longer than I expected, but not a big deal. They really know their stuff with these cameras. It's why I keep coming back for both film and service.

Nah, BFC is legit. They really get into it, like replacing parts and testing everything. Mine feels brand new.

Definitely not just a quick clean. They take them apart and put them back together. I've heard they're known for their restorations, way better than some other spots.

Pretty sure they ship worldwide actually, or at least that's what their site implied when I was checking out for a gift. Might be extra customs fees for you though, just a heads up.

I think for vintage stuff it's generally trickier. You'd probably have to check their specific policy, they might have a shorter window or certain conditions.

I returned an accessory once, no problem. But for the vintage cameras, I remember reading they're pretty strict since they're unique items. You might be able to if there's a defect, but just for 'not liking it'? Probably not.

It probably depends if they have one already done or if they have to start one when you order. My friend waited like two weeks for his custom one, but he picked out specific leather and stuff.
